Key Responsibilities Develophardware-awareQECschemesusingtheoreticalanalysisandsimulation,basedonrealisticnoisemodelsforsuperconductingqubitplatforms(e.g.,surfacecodes,LDPCcodes). Designandoptimizelogical-qubitoperationprotocols,includinglogicalgates,statepreparation,andmeasurement/readoutprocedures. CollaboratewithsoftwareengineerstobuildefficientQECsimulatorsanddecodersforrapidperformanceevaluationatscale. Workcloselywithexperimentalphysicists:co-designQECexperiments,analyzeexperimentaldata,anditeratemodels/protocolsbasedonoutcomes. DesignandexecuteQECexperimentsonsuperconductingprocessorstoimplementandbenchmarklogicalqubitsandlogicaloperations. Develophigh-precisioncalibrationmethodsandsoftwaretoolstoquantifytheimpactofnoisesources(dephasing,crosstalk,readouterrors,etc.)onQECperformance. Contributetothedesignandvalidationofnext-generationscalablequantumcomputingarchitectures,drivingQECtowardengineeringdeployment. Required Qualifications PhD(orequivalentresearchcapability)inPhysics,ComputerScience,QuantumInformation/Computing,oracloselyrelatedfield. SolidresearchexperienceinQECorquantumcomputing(typically3-5+years;evaluatedbyoutputsandimpact). FamiliaritywithatleastonemajorQECcodefamilyandfundamentaldecodingconcepts(surface/color/LDPC,etc.). StrongprogrammingskillsinPython;C++isaplus. Strongcollaborationandcommunicationskillsacrosssoftware/experimental/systemteams,withgoodtechnicalwritinghabits. Preferred/Nice-to-have ExperiencewithMWPM,Union-Find,neural/Transformer-baseddecoders,and/orreal-timedecodingimplementations Noisemodelingandnumericalsimulationexperience(Markovian/non-Markovian),master-equationorquantum-trajectorymethods.
